Effective date: September 17, 2026
This policy explains what information Pet Court collects, how it's used, who can see it, and how it's stored. It's written to accurately describe what the app actually does — not generic boilerplate. If anything here changes, we'll update this policy and change the effective date above.
Pet Court is developed by Sharon-Marie Eadie (Individual developer). If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello.availa@gmail.com.
The rest of this policy explains all of that in more detail.
Pet Court signs you in automatically and anonymously the first time you open the app, using Firebase Anonymous Authentication. This creates a random ID tied to your device install — no name, email, phone number, or any other personal identifier is collected or required. There is no sign-up screen and no login.
This anonymous ID is what connects your saved pet profiles and case history to you across app sessions on the same device install.
When you photograph or select a photo to submit a case, that photo is:
We do not build a photo library, gallery, or database of submitted images on our end.
The short text description you type (what your pet allegedly did) is sent alongside the photo for the same purpose — generating the case verdict — and is not stored by us beyond that request, unless you save the case to a profile, in which case it's stored locally on your device as part of that case record.
If you subscribe and choose to create a pet profile, we store, under your anonymous ID:
This is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, scoped to your anonymous ID — no other user can access it.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your purchase/subscription status from Apple or Google to determine your entitlement (whether you have paid access). We do not collect or see your payment card details, billing address, or any other payment information — that's handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play.
We use the information above only to run the app's actual features:
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build any kind of profile about you beyond what's needed to run these features.
Pet Court uses the following third-party services:
We do not use any advertising SDKs, and we do not run ads in the app. We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not share it with data brokers or marketers.
Because Pet Court uses anonymous authentication rather than a named account, there's no profile information (name, email) to update.
Deleting your data: you can delete a saved pet profile and its case history at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app removes any locally stored photos on your device. To request deletion of any data associated with your anonymous ID from our servers, contact us at hello.availa@gmail.com with your Beta ID / anonymous ID (visible in the app's settings), and we'll delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data (for example, to access, correct, or export it) under laws like the GDPR or CCPA. Contact us at hello.availa@gmail.com to make a request, and we'll do our best to help.
Pet Court is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has used the app and provided us with information, please contact us at hello.availa@gmail.com and we'll delete it.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.

This section isn't part of the policy itself — it's a practical reference to help map Pet Court's actual data collection onto Apple's App Privacy ("nutrition label") and Google Play's Data Safety categories when filling out store listings. Double-check current category names against each store's latest guidelines, since these are occasionally renamed.
